| | We came, we saw, and WE HAD FUN! Our multi-awarded chapter, JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel had a total of seventeen (17) registered delegates to the 59th JCI Philippines National Convention right here in our own backyard of Cebu City! Again, despite our youth in our chartership at 2years of existence, we managed to bag three awards during the annual gathering of JCI Members in the entire Philippines. It also saw our 2008 President in Jolex Yu Lim getting inducted with the rest of his 2008 Presidential classmates by no less than 2008 JCI Philippines National President Raphael Angelo RIP Lesaca! |
| | One of the most memorable events in the life of our very young chapter! We just turned one year old and we're raring to surpass what we were able to achieve during our first year! This also marked the day that I assumed the leadership of the youngest JCI chapter in the Philippines! As always, the fellowship after the ceremonies served as a fitting nightcap to the activities! |
| | As always, lending support to our fellow United Cebu JCI Chapters, JCI Cebu-Mactanc Channel attended the Induction and Turnover Ceremonies of JCI Metro Cebu Uptown and the installation of my fellow President, JCI Mem. Christian Paro-an. |
| | In a continued effort to build up membership to achieve Category 2 status in JCI Philippines, our chapter recently conducted this seminar and had one of our most valued members conduct it. A past President of JCI Cebu Hara, the current Visayas Area Training Director, a Certified National Trainer for the JCI University of Junior Chamber International and a candidate for National Graduate status, JCI Mem. Lorelei 'Maimai' DasmariƱas conducted an efficient, concise and yet very very interesting lecture about the benefits and the opportunities that JCI presents to thirteen new prospective members of JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel. |
| | As Junior Chamber International Philippines celebrated the JCI Week from April 15-22, 2007, our chapter contributed to the efforts of NVP Central Visayas Ray Salgado by hosting the DYNAMIC NAKED LEADERSHIP seminar conducted by our Charter President Cerwin Eviota. |
| | Together with the Philippine National Red Cross, SM City Cebu, McDonald's and Y101, our chapter, JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel held a one-day bloodletting and exhibit affair at the SM City Cebu Trade Hall 1. An Advocacy Project aimed to benefit the Phil. National Red Cross and to spread the importance of helping those in need by donating one's blood! Chaired by our SG, JCI Mem. Marlon Ariel L. Polinar and ably assisted by our very active members! |
| | Last February 13, 2007, the officers of the newest JCI Philippines Local Organization gathered at Marco Polo Plaza Hotel for our official pictorial with renowned photographer Roy Ramas (www.royramas.com). |
Given merit as the Best New Local Organization in Junior Chamber International Philippines, JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel reaped in a total of seven (7) Visayas Area Awards in the JCIP Area IV Convention and four (4) National Awards in the JCIP 58th National Convention in 2006, its charter year in Junior Chamber International. | | Last November 20, 2006, the JCI Local Organizations in Cebu were graced by the presence not by one, not by two, not even by three, but five stalwarts of the JCI movement in the International Arena. Led by former JCIP NP and 2002 World EVP JCI Sen. Marcel Fernan, ICT Director Pedro Zaraza, Area C Director Edmond Sakai and Area D Director Zsolt Feher talked to us about the importance of Non-Profit Management and new developments from the JCI Website. I was joined by my cousin, our 2007 International Affairs Commissioner Berchman Parcon as representatives of JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel. |
| | Last Nov. 11, 2006, my good friend Jude Pangan, the Asst. Reservations Manager of Marco Polo Plaza, invited JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel to an appreciation dinner hosted by MPP for their valued clients and business partners for a very successful year. Jude, who's also a valued recruit of our JCI chapter, was a very gracious host despite the transfer of event venue at the hotel due to unforeseen circumstances. An experience to remember! Hobnobbing with the social elite in Cebu while enjoying a sumptuous dinner by their very talented chef from Canada. |
